The Smudge Fund
What is the Smudge Fund?
The Smudge Fund is named in loving memory of Dr. Faith Banks’ first Bernese Mountain Dog, Smudge, who was the inspiration behind the creation of Midtown Mobile Veterinary Hospice Services. It was established in July 2020 to assist families who may not otherwise be able to afford to say goodbye to their beloved pets in the comfort and privacy of home. Thanks to generous donations from our clients, members of our own team and fellow animal lovers in our community, the Smudge Fund has helped over 100 families ease the financial burden at a very stressful time.
Making a Donation
Donations to the Smudge Fund can be a meaningful way to honour a dearly departed companion, celebrate a special milestone or simply pay it forward. Some choose a one-time donation, while others prefer an annual contribution, such as on their pet’s birthday or the anniversary of their passing. However you choose to donate, please know we accept donations in any amount with gratitude; every little bit helps! Please reach out to us at info@mmvhs.ca for more information on how to make a donation.
Thank you for your support - it truly makes a difference!
Please note: The Smudge Fund is not a registered charity and therefore we cannot provide tax receipts.
