Join Our Team!
Midtown Mobile Veterinary Hospice Services (MMVHS) is a growing veterinary practice focused exclusively on in-home end-of-life care for pets in the City of Toronto and surrounding areas. We are a tight-knit team of animal lovers with a soft spot for senior pets. In collaboration with our sister company, Faithful Pet Memorial (FPM), which offers aquamation (an eco-friendly water-based form of cremation), unique memorial keepsakes, viewing & visitation services and more, we are truly able to care for pets throughout their entire end-of-life journey.
We currently have 3 teams within the organization who work together to provide compassionate end-of-life care for pets and support their families through this emotional time: veterinarians, hospice care coordinators, and aftercare associates. Learn more about each role below.
Veterinarians:
We are actively recruiting new veterinarians and encourage you to apply today at careers@mmvhs.ca
As a veterinarian on our team, you will provide in-home euthanasia services for pets in the comfort and privacy of their homes across the GTA. You will also help pet owners to navigate the highly emotional experience of pet loss. You must enjoy driving and have access to a clean, well-maintained vehicle. Some of our veterinarians also offer hospice and palliative care consultations via telemedicine, which provide families with the resources and support necessary to make their pet’s final days/weeks/months as comfortable as possible. The ideal candidate will be particularly drawn to this niche area of veterinary medicine and share our belief that it is an honour to help families say goodbye to their beloved pets at home.
Hospice Care Coordinators:
As a hospice care coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for families facing end-of-life decisions for their pet. You will be responsible for answering client phone calls/emails, responding to questions regarding our services and fee structure, as well as scheduling appointments and communicating details to our veterinarians. You must be comfortable with technology and have access to a personal computer, cell phone, internet, along with a quiet work space, as our entire hospice care team works remotely. The ideal candidate will have experience with pet loss, excellent communication skills, and an appreciation for the human-animal bond.
Aftercare Associates:
Our aftercare team provides respectful and dignified care for pets after they have passed away. As a member of our team at Faithful Pet Memorial, you will be responsible for fulfilling owners’ wishes with regards to aftercare for their pet including arranging viewing & visitation services, aquamation, creating memorial keepsakes and more. The ideal candidate will have a true appreciation for the human-animal bond, a keen attention to detail, be comfortable wearing “multiple hats” and will seek to honour each pet by delivering exceptional aftercare services to the families we help.

We are always interested in meeting with individuals who are drawn to this type of work. If you are interested in any of the areas above (or can see yourself adding value to our organization in another way), please send your resume and a cover letter to careers@mmvhs.ca and tell us why you think you’d be a great addition to the MMVHS and/or FPM team. We look forward to hearing from you!
